ABOUT US

Our unarmed security officers serve the community by conducting routine foot patrols in buildings and around campus daily. Our team also provides courtesy escorts and motorist assistance to students, faculty, staff and visitors at the University of Utah.

Last year, security officers performed 1,236 courtesy escorts on campus and assisted 634 motorists who were locked out of their vehicles or needed a jump-start when their car batteries died. Our team is also prepared for emergencies. Officers are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use.
